PC World has a story:
While we haven’t looked at it yet, version 7.0 looks promising since
Zone Labs is integrating the top-performing Kaspersky antivirus engine.
(To get an idea of how it performs, read our review of Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0.) The Kasperksy engine replaces a lackluster version of the CA antivirus engine that was integrated into ZoneAlarm 6.0.
PC Magazine also has a report with some additional technical details:
The OSFirewall behavior-based protection, introduced in version 6,
gains additional malware-mashing power. ZAISS’s SmartDefense Advisor
feature automatically configures program control for hundreds of
thousands of known applications. A pre-install system scan
automatically configures access for known programs present on the
system.By default ZAISS now starts in Learning Mode, which further cuts back on firewall confirmation popups.
If you would like to test the Beta, you can do so here. Just make sure you are ready to submit feedback and bug reports — it is a beta after all.

Oh, I get it. The great 6.0 Zone Alarm Anti-virus program had, after all, a lackluster anti-virus program. Will they say the same thing about Kapersky in a couple of years?
But since i installed

TrueVector version:7.0.302.000
Driver version:7.0.302.000
Anti-virus engine version:104987312
Anti-virus signature DAT file version:20070225012000
Anti-spyware engine version:5.0.162.0
Anti-spyware signature DAT file version:01.200702.1055
AntiSpam version:4.9.1.8203
windows xp says that your zonealarm antivirus is out of date.this problem occurs for many of my friends too.
what is the problem
Can anyone assist, I’m trying to install zone alarm but keep getting an error asking me to turn off the True Vector Service, how do i do that ?
Help appreciated.
Thanks
i have purchased kaspersky 2009 av recently but on scanning is is only detecting threats and Mal wares but not deleting. have i made some mistake in settings? when i click on detected button it has two options 1. disinfect 2. quarantine, disinfect option is dormant and when i click on quarantine option it asks for locating the quarantine folder which is non existent. what should i do?
I prefer (http://www.rosoftdownload.com/download/Windows/Kaspersky-Anti-Virus-2009) Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 because the program can be installed on infected computers, self-protection from being disabled or stopped, restores correct system settings after removing malicious software or it have tools for creating a rescue disk.
I’ve got Kaspersky too, I cannot open Zonealarm, says Kaspersky already installed, ya know I don’t care, i paid good money to get Zone Alarm to work, does this mean I have to un-install Kaspersky to get the Zone Alarm installed?
Hi David. First off, this is a blog post from 2006. Secondly, you should not run two antivirus or two firewall software on one machine. In your case, running ZoneAlarm (one with antivirus) with Kaspersky will cause conflicts.
