To remove Norton antivirus and security products:

Follow these instructions for downloading and running the Norton Removal Tool associated with your Norton product.

To remove McAfee antivirus and security products:

1. Download the removal tool: http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe
2. Make sure all McAfee windows are closed, and then double-click the MCPR.exe file you downloaded. (On Windows Vista: Right-click MCPR.exe and select Run as Administrator.)
3. Restart your computer after receiving the message CleanUp Successful.

To remove Trend Micro antivirus and security products:

1. Make sure all Trend Micro windows are closed.
2. Open your C:Program FilesTrend MicroInternet Security folder.
3. Double-click the TISSuprt.exe or PCCTool.exe file (depending on which file appears in your folder).
4. When the support tool window opens, click the Uninstall tab.
5. Click the Uninstall button.

To remove BitDefender antivirus and security products:

To remove other antivirus products:

If you are running another brand of security software, remove it through the standard Windows program removal process:

Windows 2000/XP

1. Close all open windows and programs.
2. Click Start > Settings > Control Panel.
3. Double-click on Add or Remove Programs.
4. Select the program you want to uninstall.
5. Click Remove and follow the steps provided.
6. If prompted, restart your computer to complete the uninstall.

Windows Vista

1. Close all open windows and programs.
2. Click Start > Search
3. Type Programs and Features, and click Go.
4. Double-click Programs and Features.
5. Select the product you want to uninstall.
6. Click Uninstall and follow the steps provided.
