Here are some common issues and solutions to help you with installing your software.

How do I uninstall conflicting security programs?

If you got an error message telling you that you cannot install until you remove a specific conflicting security program, see Uninstalling Conflicting Security Programs

Why?

Security features from different products sometimes overlap causing computer problems. ZoneAlarm automatically detects many conflicting third-party security programs. Since these programs provide some of the same types of protection that ZoneAlarm provides, you won't need them if you are installing ZoneAlarm.


Solutions
I can't find my license key.

If you purchased ZoneAlarm in a store, look for your license key on the back of the CD sleeve or inside the product case.

If you purchased online, the key is in your order confirmation email.

Alternatively, you can also log into your MyZone account to get your license key.


How do I enter my license key?
  1. Click Enter License in the lower right corner of the ZoneAlarm window.
  2. Copy (or type) your license key into the dialog that appears.
I upgraded my ZoneAlarm product and my license key does not work.

  1. Uninstall ZoneAlarm by choosing Start | All Programs | ZoneAlarm | Uninstall ZoneAlarm Security.
  2. Install your new ZoneAlarm product and enter your new license key by clicking Enter License in the lower right corner of the ZoneAlarm window.

How do I get the latest version?

To get the latest version of your licensed product:

  • In ZoneAlarm, click Overview | Preferences.
  • Click the Check for Update button.

If "Check for Update" is grayed out, your subscription has expired and you need to renew in order to update your product:

  • Click Overview | Product Info.
  • Click the Renew button.

Tip: On the Release History page you can find out what's new in the latest version.

How do I upgrade to more features (or another ZoneAlarm product)?

Assuming you don't already have our most comprehensive product:

  1. Open ZoneAlarm.
  2. Click the blue "Verify you are running all necessary protection on this computer" link in the lower middle of the window. This opens a window that guides you through easy upgrade options.
