Can keyloggers bypass ZA Security?
I just found out through ZA 8 that I had the commercial Power Spy hidden in one of my files.
I have a couple questions:
1.) Can hidden keylogger spyware bypass ZoneAlarm security, especially ZA's IDProtection?
2.) Usually, how would a commercial keylogger install onto a sole homeowner's computer without his/her knowledge?
Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition
Product Name:ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite
Re: Can keyloggers bypass ZA Security?
1. yes, ZA protect against keyloggers but you cannot exclude that a keylogger will bypass ZA. NO tool can cpver from 100% of the thread out there. This is especially true if you ZA is still in autolearn (ZA program control). ID protection only cover non encrypted communication via standard web and/or e-mail channels (port 80, SMPT). If the keylogger use other ports or send encrypted data then you will not be able to notice it.
2. Can be many things... Someone else install it, you visited a web page that hiddenly installed something or you installed a software disguised as a normal tool.
Hope this helps.
