I've got a bug that removes my virus protection software when I restart my PC! It removed Symantek, then McAfee (which warns me that there a bug, but can't seem to find it.) I downloaded Stinger, but it can find it either. Can someone PLEASE tell me what it is, where it might be hiding and how I can get rid of it. Thanks, Ron

Ronzo, please try running an online scan from www.ewido.net to hopefully get rid of this malware for you.
Welcome to the Forum...
Ewido is a good program and will probably find and Remove the Malware that's causing your problem..
But just in case, here is another option to try after Ewido..
PCTOOL's also provides a FREE ONLINE Mailware Scanner..
I have a Next door Neighbor who has two teenage Kids that are constantly downloading
GAMES and Music files off the Internet, and Infecting the Computer with Dozens of Trojan, Adware, worms and Virus
the second primary cause of Infection is Opening EMAIL with Attachments.. or Opening the attachments..
3rd cause is Surfing the Internet and Clicking on POP-UP windows that offer FREE stuff etc..
