Fidelity Toolbar Doesn't Work If ZoneAlarms Internet Protection Is Active

I have to use 6.x because a company I connect to uses a VPN that doesn't recognize 7.x.
I have Fidelity's Toolbar for IE
It works fine if ZoneAlram Internet protection is disabled.
If I turn on ZoneAlarm Internet protection the toolbar doesn't work.
I have contacted ZA's technical support and all they seem to be able to do is to suggest trying things at random to see if something helps.
So far I have deleted all programs that had an X in the internet section from the program list (to see if a prompt would appear for the toolbar).
When that didn't work the suggestion was made to delete all of the ZA log files.
That didn't work.
I had a different software firewall running for years without a problem.
I had to switch to ZA for business reasons.
Any suggestions on how to get the Fidelity Toolbar working would be appreciated.
Yes, I have posted a request for help with Fidelity but, based on prior experiences, don't expect much in the way of help.
