Search engine and Zone Alarm
I use Copernic as a search engine and it is integated into internet explorer so that when I click "search", it will start copernic.
I have used it and zone alarm for several years.
Within the last two weeks, a change has occurred and when I attempted to search using copernic through internet explorer, explorer told me that I did have permissions to use it.
I have not adjusted zone alarm settings at all.
If a run Copernic as a program, I don't have any problem.
I attempted to go to "alerts - os firewall.
It shows the blocked attempts to use copernic but when I highlight, it will not show the option to give the program permissions.
It calls it a "spawn program."
How do I fix it so that I can use copernic through internet explorer?
I won't even attempt to get an explanation as to why all the sudden that program has denied me access.
Operating System:Windows XP Pro
Product Name:ZoneAlarm Pro
Re: Search engine and Zone Alarm
In your Zone Alarm Program control > Programs, right click on the 'copernic ' application, select 'options', and make sure you've checked the box for 'open process' and with your Internet Explorer, do the same thing and allow 'other programs to use this program to access the internet'. BTW, have you updated either of these programs just before this happened?
