This has hijacked my home page & I can't get rid of it. A couple web articles indicate it is something called malware. Not sure why Zone Alarm didn't prevent it in the first place, and what the best way to clean up is. It has other distracting features such as pop ups associated with a yellow triangle with an exclamation point in the center. Don't know what hidden effects this has, so unsure whether I should disconnect from the internet. Any suggestions?
Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition
Product Name:ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite

Re: Potentially infectious site
From what I'm able to find, this is malware that is probably more of a nuisance that a danger. Nonetheless, you'll want to get rid of it and ZASS virus scan may not pick it up. There are anti-spyware programs that likely can find and eliminate it but I'm not sure which ones. What I would do if I were you is ask for help on the CastleCops Forum under the 'Privacy' subsection 'HijackThis' . I think you'll need to register but it is free, you won't get spammed, and there are some really helpful anti-spyware experts there willing and able to help you get ride of this critter.

Try this, download and update Ewido and Ad-aware then run them in safe mode.
