Antivirus Scan stops at 85,400 files
I never have problems with ZoneAlarm but I noticed the other day that the scan was not completing--both the files scanned count and timer stop. It stops at around 85,400 files.
I researched this issue and found many other reports of the same problem.
-Using the "Target" menu to skip the file or folder the scan stops at only causes the next scan to stop at a lower file number like 85,399 and so one.
-Turning off "On-Access scanning" turns off the scanning function for this version of Zonealarm and prompts to turn it back on.
-Anti virus will not start in safe mode. No error message.
-Uninstall and reinstall. I thought this worked because I was able to do a full scan once after reinstalling, but the second scan stalled in the original way at the same file number scanned.
