AV still scanning at reboot, PC unusable for an hour!
Ive read a number of threads here about AV scans happening on re-boot, and I upgraded my software as advised. It has not cured the problem. After switching on my PC it takes over an hour to become usable (I mean that: I have timed it). It reports that a "security update" or "security scan" is in progress. I have set up ZoneAlarm to do a scan every day at 8pm, but it seems to be ignoring this request.
Also: I have set antivirus updates to be "every 24 hours" , but it always tries to update when I switch on in the morning, and informs me that the next update will be at 02:51 pm. So, if it really means that, it is not even taking any notice of my "24 hour" request. Why 02:51, always?
It wouldnt be so bad the tasks ran as a low priority, but they seem to be hogging all the resources.
I cant believe this is intentional behavior, so if anyone can suggest what I am doing wrong, I would be grateful.

I guess the best is to contact directly the ZA technical support (we are all users here), so they can suggest some troubleshooting steps including a clean install. In case its not solved you should keep getting back to official support to ensure the issue is logged and escalated to development team.
