Windows Updates and Zone Alarm
I have a hacker who is relentlessly trying to gain access to my system. For the past two days, I've gotten a slew of windows updates on my desktop computer, but not on my laptop. And upon configuration, my machine keeps shutting down and starting up again. I think that's odd. I just read about a spoofed Windows update called FLAME, which will penetrate the Windows Firewall. I've installed a Zone Alarm Firewall. What are the chances that FLAME will also penetrate Zone Alarm? Thanks for any response or help in advance
Re: Windows Updates and Zone Alarm
There is no magic touch by flame as any other malware need to execute a component on the machine. If your machine if fully up to date (including all the third party software and drivers) and BOTH an antivirus/firewall is installed and fully up to date then you should be fine.
Just follow all the steps here (including posting logs at bleeping computer website):
Malware Clean-up Guidance
to check if the machine is infected and to clean it.
