I just downloaded ZoneAlarm Antivirus from site[/URL]. During the installation I allowed it to install a browser toolbar. Now my browser, FireFox v. 29, has a one inch space at the bottom that has a single red "^" on the left margin. It is taking up a lot of real estate on my browser, cutting into the viewable area by a lot. Is there a way to remove this useless waste of space? The menu item View->Toolbars doesn't show a ZoneAlarm toolbar. The Tools menu item doesn't show anything
Re: zonealarm toolbar
Do not ever download security tools (including ZA) from other sites than the producer. You will never know if the executable has been tampered or modifed in some form.
You should remove the toolbar and ZA from the system. Have your system inspected for malware or modifications (for example, by bleepingcomputer.com or spywarehammer.com) and only then install the latest version of ZA you can find here:
http://www.zonealarm.com/security/en...ce-support.htm see "customer quick links" section and mind to download the right installer.
If you have still problems just remove the toolbar from the OS "uninstall a program" (assuming you are using win7 or win8). Also note that if you have a valid license, you can contact, free of charge the official ZA technical support (all users here) at the link in my signature. Look for the "contact us" icon in the main support site.
