Default Is ZA Anti-Spyware Active or Passive?

(I tried to post this yesterday and when I submitted, I got this page cannot be displayed error.)

Does ZA s anti-spyware monitor and quarantine spyware as it comes into my computer or does spyware sit there, spying, until I do a scan?

    Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite
    Software Version:6.0

Yes, Zone Alarm's Anti-Spyware has active antispyware in which it scans on access each file you open. Also, if you have the OS Firewall enabled, you will be protected further because of its ability to stop spyware from starting and installing in the first place.

    Hope I answered your question.

Thanks for the quick response. Yes, you did answer my question. I'm a new user of ZA, and if I had delved deeper into advanced options, I would have read thatthe defaultis "automatic treatment" of spyware, an option that can be turned off.
