Default Which Zone to Add - Ip Address - Subnet

    Hi, this is my setup
All machines have XP SP2 running - and all the lastest Zonealarm
    They all connect wireless(ly)
    pc1 - 192.168.1.9
    pc2 - 192.168.1.8
    pc3 - 192.168.1.7
    router - 192.168.1.1
(the subnet is on all is 255.255.255.0)
    ok
if i add any pc as ip address as trusted - then try and ping it - it fails...
if i add any pc as sub net as trusted - then try and ping it - it works...
    this is right isn't it?

But i guess my question is:
wots the point of having ip address? and when do you use it? in what setup?
wots the point of having sub net? and when do you use it? in what setup?
wots the point of any type of zones and when do i use it and in what setup?

    Thanks

    Operating System:Windows XP Pro
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm (Free)
    Software Version:6.0

Default Re: Which Zone to Add - Ip Address - Subnet

Add the network ZA detected something like 192.198.1.0/255.255.255.0 to the trusted zone and the loopback adaptor. This network should be listed in tab firewall page zones.
    Best regards
