Default Zone Alarm will not open

Never mind, for some unknown reason after messing with it last night and this morning, it all of a sudden came up a few seconds ago. So, thank you, and I will get back to the other cleaning problems I have been working on. Hi again, Right in the middle of trying to fix this computer, Zone Alarm has decided not to open from the taskbar, program bar, or from anywhere. I uninstalled and reinstalled last night but it hasn't made a difference. (To Oldsod, I am still working on the steps to cleaning this thing, but I am taking a refresher organic chem course for the VCAT exam next month. I'm in class 5 days per week, so it's taking me longer than I thought.) In fact, I am on my way out the door now, I just cannot figure out why Zone Alarm will not open for me to do a scan or anything else. I'll be back around 4:30 and it's noon now. Thank you very much as always, no rush to get to me, I am over freaking out over the computer and it's problems. Thank you again, Cindy

Hi!1. Please follow this procedure (below link) to completely remove ZASS: one step does not apply to you or you cannot perform it, please skip to the next. The procedure may require you to start in SAFE MODE andshow hidden files.Be careful to correctly copy/paste the string into the windows search functionotherwise you will not find the files/folders you need to remove. Please keep note also of your license key since this procedure will wipe out all ZA core files.2. Run a registry/system cleaner. ccleaner is quite good utility ( 3. Re-download the installer from here (and do NOT use any download managers): 4. Install with default settings, do not alter them....5. Once rebooted manual update the antivirus/antispyware signature ('update now' under the antivirus/antispyware tab)After the update perform a full antivirus/antispyware scan.Hope this help.Cheers,Fax
