Default Thunderbird Email Client SMTP problem

Since upgrading to the newest ZASS, Thunderbird can no longer send out email. Now I checked the program settings and it has permission to send email and has permission for internet access. I thought it might be my ISP SMTP server, but when I shutdown ZASS, the emails were sent with no problem. I didn't know where else to post this problem. Hope someone can help.

    Operating System:Windows XP Pro
    Software Version:7.0
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite

Default Re: Thunderbird Email Client SMTP problem

Ok I just tweaked with the outbound mail protection. When I turned it off...email was sent fine. When I turned it back on...it wouldn't access the server again. I don't see why this is happening, since the only thing I did was to add the email accounts of my wife and I to the list to be protected. I've done this with all the past versions of ZASS and have never had a problem until now.
