OK so maybe soneone can answer this question.
I get literally hundreds of these notices in my "Alerts & Logs"See information immediately below:

There are also many of these warnings which according to the description are attempted by other programs besides Windows ExplorerFor example, the spam preventer program, (mailfrontier) often tries to do the same thing.
Also, svchost, and rundll as an app.
These programs all seem determinded to "write" to that file.
None of them ever get to do so but
it really makes me wonder why they areconstantly trying!!!
So far I have been unable to locate any file on the computer titled ZLDIR

Operating System:Windows XP Pro x64
Software Version:8.0
Product Name:ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite

It means ZoneAlarm directories... its not related to any specific file.ZA will protected own files against tampering (self defense) and deny access to ZA files/directories.Its normal to see'explorer' trying to access directories as part ofthe daily functioning of the system. The same applies for mailsafe...However, I would not say you should see'hundreds' of these alerts daily.....May be is good you check formalware.... see here:http://forum.zonelabs.org/zonelabs/b...essage.id=3787Or may be you are running other security tools?Note that ZA does not play nice with many other security tools. They may block its correct functioning including updates. For example, spyware doctor, spysweeper, trojan hunter, win patrol, PCtools Threat Fire, Mcafee, Norton, Symantec, Adaware, SpybotS&D, AVG, NOD, and manyothers. If you want to troubleshoot issues with ZA please remove these tools (not enough to disable) and install back (if you really need) only after you see your ZASS is working as it should.Changed the subject to make it more understandable....Cheers,Fax
