Provided this is incorporated in the free ZoneAlarm version 7 (French version)

To repair this problem, please follow the steps below. Please note that
this will remove your program permission settings (so you may want to make
note of them),Provided this is incorporated in the free ZoneAlarm version 7 (French version) but re-establishing them is a simple process.

1.) Hold down the Ctrl and Shift keys together
2.) Right click on the ZA icon near your clock in the system tray lower right corner
3.) Choose 'Reset' from the box that comes up
4.) Choose Yes on the Reset Settings dialog box
5.) When prompted, choose OK to restart your system
6.) Follow the on screen configuration prompts after reboot

You should not lose connection. When you run Reset follow the screen :

    1.) Select Auto-learn - click NEXT
2.) Join Defense Net - up to you - NEXT
    3.) Active Anti-Virus Protection - Yes - NEXT
4.) ZoneAlarm Program Setup - select Setup My Programs - NEXT
5.) When Scan finish - Restart

As far with problems with ver 8 .You can use RED Search button.Enter a few key words to find issues and remedies.
Also use the Support Center Knowledge Base at this link :

Just let Auto-learn for 21 days then you can set your own settings.Much better this way.

    Good Luck

I have never use the free version, but I would think so.If you ctrl+shift /right click on zone alarm /reset " does it shows Reset, YES.

If you right click ZA icon, click help. You'll get all information needed to configure ZA.

After 21 days it will set to Max instead of AUTO in Program Control / Main panel.

RED search button is on top left of message board.Under where it says " Common Program Settings.

Other than this I don't know what else to tell you.

    Have a Nice Day
