Even happier are the Avira/AntiVir users (free/paid AV that always aces these test)
But it is good to see NOD do so well and have a three star rating in the previous August test too.
Of course the KAV always does well.

It's not obvious/clear to me that they test Avira's free product.
NOD32 report is for version 2.7 which is under trial here and doing well.
    NOD32 v3 won't run on a W2K server, but 2.7 does.

They don't seem to test ZA antivirus section

Question to NNard Guru: NOD32 v2.7 vs 3 - having gotten somewhat used to the GUI of 2.7, v3 is odd to me. Tell me, if you have time what's better or why. I will have to stay with 2.7 forever on w2K server, but 3 can go anywhere. Just tell me few things to notice as good/important/usefull.

Hi zasuiteuser,I have been using version 3.0 since it was released about a month ago and have not had any problems running it on my system. Aside from the cosmetic changes, Ifeel it functions just as well as version 2.7. The footprint is light, it performs a scan just as quick and updates just as frequently. Others have reported minor issues with it such as incompatibility with Outlook Express (which I don't use) and the slow loading of certain web pages (which I don't seem to experience). The only other minor difference is now your license key expiration date is displayed. My recommendation is that if 2.7 is working well for you and if you are more comfortable using it, then stick with it as it is still very effective as you can see by the Advanced+ results.Take care,NNardZA AS 7.0.462.000NOD32 3.0.566.0

    Thank you.
When I tried v3 it had no problems whatsoever with Outlook 2003 from Office 2003. Not express.
It's a nice company. They let me try both versions
I'm using ZA AS at this point, as well, and things are ok.

    Hello Guru Oldsod,
I am a new member in this forum.
The best combination to keep my PC safe, ZoneAlarm Pro and NOD32. And I thank for your Helpful Links.
By the way, I clicked all your links, and found a typo in the third link 'Services and Support'.
I believe that suppor should be support.

Thanks BluePencil for the edit suggestion.
Welcome to the ZA user forum!
That must be the fourth time I have changed that link in the past few months. Somehow it it keeps moving around.
Any suggestions for any other new links?

Hmm. I have licenses for NOD32 and KAV and AntiVir antiviruses, I just can't make up my mind on these things.

    Cheers, Oldsod
