    Default resetting the ZA database

    In message http://forums.zonealarm.org/zonelabs...ssage.id=25670
    guru chiaz gave this advise
Meanwhile...try resetting your database. Keep in mind that you will lose all settings within ZoneAlarm. If you usually rely on the default settings, this poses no problem for you.
1.) Hold down the Ctrl and Shift keys together
2.) Right click on the ZA icon near your clock
3.) Choose 'Reset' from the box that comes up
4.) Choose Yes on the Reset Settings dialog box
5.) When prompted, choose OK to restart your system
6.) Follow the on screen configuration prompts after reboot
I haven't tried it yet but it would seem to eliminate the need to go into safe mode and manually delete files in the internet logs folder.
Why hasn't any one else mentioned it?

    Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition
    Software Version:7.0
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Antivirus

Probably because it's a new, improved, handy feature that is quite new with this release

I'm wondering if when you say it will reset all settings, does that also included any IP's that have been entered for either blocking or trusting?

Yes it will remove this. But there is a simple work around.

Just use the Backup feature in the Backup/Restore of the ZA first before doing any kind of database reset. After the database reset is finished, then the previous settings and entries can be restored using the Backup/Restore of the ZA. Your setting and entries are stored in a .xml file located on the drive (you pick where the backup .xml file will be placed).

    Anti-virus engine version:3
    Anti-virus signature DAT file version:20071218235000
    Anti-spyware engine version:5.0.189.0

I do not seem to have this option of resetting the database. I can access something called "set debug level".
    Am I missing something??
    What is the debug level??
