    Default ZA Database

Under C:\Windows\Internet Logs\Updates there was a sub folder with an XML doc in it, three compressed zip folders also.

    Updates File Folder XML file

    tvDebug.zip
    5,581KB compressed zip

    vsmon_2nd_2009_01_29_19
    81KB compressed zip

    vsmon_on_demand_2009_01

Stands to reason the resetting of the database did not remove these files/zips - these are not database files.
The iamdb.rdb and the backup.rdb files are the correct database files.
    The other files are not.

TvDebug.log and the TvDebug.zip are used strictly for remitting to the ZA Technical Support when facing certain ZA issues (read True Vector Debug for the TvDebug file name, where the True Vector is the windows' service component for the ZA firewall). Logging to the tvdebug file is normal and this is neither unusual or anything special.

The logging to the TvDebug files can be COMPLETELY stopped, if this bothers your computer or you:[*] Hold down the Ctrl and Shift keys together[*] Right click on the ZA icon near your clock[*] Choose 'Set Debug Mode' from the box that comes up [*] Select 'Off' in the 'Debug categories'.[*] OK[*] Reboot or restart windows.

However, if you ever do need the Technical Support (free by email), they may need the TvDebug.log and .zips to examine what actually is happening with your computer and the ZA issues.

The other vsmon files and zips are also used for sending to the Technical Support for required information.
However the creation of these files are special - it means the windows recently experienced a hard shutdown, or a mini crash or some particular issue.
If these files are not wanted, then just delete these manually (if these do not properly delete in the normal boot, then simply delete in the safe boot).

But the presence of the vsmon files does indicate recent issues with the windows operating system (at the original time stamp of the files).
