    Default Trial has expired issue...

    Hi,

I have the same issue described in one post on this forum,

Forcefield was working well and saying that i had about 360 days left

And then it stopped working saying that my free trial is over.
I just have now the FF icon with a red cross saying: ZoneAlarm ForceField trial has expired. Click FF icon to purchase.

clicking on it i get 4 options: License... Help About and Exit.
I am not able to enter my Registration code.

I tried to completely uninstall and reinstall but always the same issue. Emptied my temp folders also didn't work.

    Thanx for any advice

Dell XPS quadcore with Win Vista Pro Sp1 with all updates.

    regards,

    Operating System:Windows Vista Business

Default Repost of solution of not being able to enter license key (from Support)

    Fax (and other Gurus),
My pleasure since your responses on this forum have helped me many times. Here is the whole enchilada from support:

I understand that your ZoneAlarm ForceField trial has expired, even though you have entered the license key.

Please go through the following, and then reinstall ForceField.

    This Information Applies to

    ZoneAlarm ForceField

    Summary

ForceField is not accepting my license key properly

    Solution

Please make sure that you have the latest version downloaded first. This becomes the full version when you put your license key into it:

    http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/fr...331_000_en.exe

    Now follow the steps below:

01.) Click on Start -> Programs -> ZoneAlarm ForceField

02.) RIGHT-click on Uninstall ForceField, then select Properties

03.) Under Target you will see the following line (the actual drive may be different on your system):

    "C:\Program Files\CheckPoint\ZAForceField\Uninstall.exe"

    Change it to:

    "C:\Program Files\CheckPoint\ZAForceField\Uninstall.exe" /rmlicense

(add a space and then the /rmlicense)

04.) Click Apply, then OK to save the new command line.

05.) Click on Start -> Programs -> ZoneAlarm ForceField -> Uninstall ForceField

06.) Click Uninstall to run the uninstaller, and choose OK or yes to any security alerts that pop up.

07.) Say Yes when being prompted for the removal of all files.

    08.) Reboot when prompted.

09.) After the reboot, reinstall using the file you downloaded earlier.

I have this same problem basicaly but, mine never actually worked. it just went straight to the expired trial thing with the red X through the Icon. I can only get to the "uninstal.exe" file by going to "C:\Program Files\CheckPoint\ZAForceField/Uninstall.exe" and I canot edit the "target".
I am unable to delete ANY of the previously installed files also.
