Default Trial Expired - Unable to enter PAID for license info.

Today for some reason FF died on me. I have a red x through the system icon and a message saying click ff to purchase.

Well I did purchase it a month ago. So I have a legit key, but I have no way of entering it into FF. I can right click on the icon and License, help about, exit appear. None of which enable me to imput the key.

When I click on 'start forcefield' nothing happens.

I'm running Vista (sadly) and all was fine yesterday.

I have downloaded and reinstalled (uninstalling the first version), then rebooted and yet still have no means to enter the key.

**bleep** is going on with this product. Why isn't there a place to enter a key once a trial version period finishes?

    Can somebody from ZA explain.

    Thanks,
    T

Yes thanks that fixed the problem. Thanks.

Not really happy about having to perform the work around though - some would be lost having to perform those tseps.
I had that happen last year with ZA Suite license too! But at least it works!

Well the only thing I can tell you is this. If you look at the lower right of your desktop in the taskbar, if you've installed force field there should be a small icon which gives you some options about what you want to do or choose the loading options. Also it list other items one of which is license, click on it and enter you reg number and it should be okay.

    Hopes this helps a bit.....Have a good day /

Actually Buddy that will have zero affect. My issue is that the right click system tray icon doe NOT allow the registration to be comleted.

The right response (for some users affected by this)
    is:

01.) Click on Start -> Programs -> ZoneAlarm ForceField

02.) RIGHT-click on Uninstall ForceField, then select Properties

03.) Under Target you will see the following line (the actual drive may be different on your system):

    "C:\Program Files\CheckPoint\ZAForceField\Uninstall.exe"

    Change it to:

    "C:\Program Files\CheckPoint\ZAForceField\Uninstall.exe" /rmlicense

(add a space and then the /rmlicense)

04.) Click Apply, then OK to save the new command line.

05.) Click on Start -> Programs -> ZoneAlarm ForceField -> Uninstall ForceField

06.) Click Uninstall to run the uninstaller, and choose OK or yes to any security alerts that pop up.

07.) Say Yes when being prompted for the removal of all files.

    08.) Reboot when prompted.

09.) After the reboot, reinstall using the file you downloaded earlier.
