Dear customers,
During our latest 6.5 product release we ve had a few issue reports from our customers. To address these reports, we want to provide you with the latest information about the release and its related issues and fixes.
I expect some of you have been with us a long time and are very familiar with our products and our company/communication style. Our principle for product problems is to acknowledge them, keep customers informed, be honest and open, and work like mad on getting fixes out.
The 6.5 release doesn t contain any more or less issues than usual from our reports so far, but a couple of issues on this release have been more disruptive to you and have required more complex fixes. We re working to get those issues fixed as quickly as possible.
Here is the status on our progress for 6.5 issues:
 1.
Eudora This issue was addressed in version 6.5.722 which was released beginning yesterday. (If anybody has updated to .722 and is still having Eudora issues, please let us know.)
Isolated crashing We isolated three independent crashes related to Kapersky and CHKDSK. Fortunately these cases are rare and a fix is included in today's spyware update.
100% CPU/dumprep this is an issue we ve unfortunately not yet solved. Although this is a rare occurrence among our customers thus far, we have managed to get a hold of a computer with this issue and are isolating the cause as I write. I hope to have an update to you and our other customers soon.
