I've always liked the free Zone Alarm firewall, and finally bit the bullet and bought the new Security Suite.
Now my Outlook Express just won't work.
It tries to open, and I get the task bar and folders list, and sometimes even
the list of messages.
First a "Do you want to create a safelist?" comes up.
I say "yes", then a window that informs me it's doing a virus scan..then nothing... Just sits there.
When I get tired of looking at it, I try to close the program, only to be told it's not responding.
In the meantime, even if I cancel the scan, the program is frozen.
I can't check my mail or read anything unless I turn off the whole Zone Alarm program, and try to re-start Outlook Express.
Sometimes it works, sometimes not.
I have since uninstalled the program (ZA) and re-installed with the "clean install" choice.
I used to use the Qurb whitelist program to filter my email, and it is totally disabled, although I didn't uninstall it.
I don't want to, if this new program refuses to work.
Can anyone help?
