Every Wednsday or Thursday, I get a call from the only person in the organization who uses a laptop with Zone Alarm suite installed. Outlook can receive mail but can not send any. I suspect it is the firewall or some other feature of the zone alarm that blocks the traffic. I do not see any SMTP traffic hitting the firewall or the mail server when this laptop tries to send/receive mail. Deleting the e-mail account and re-creating it fixes the problem until the following week.At first I thought it is the Microsoft Update so I disabled that. It did not fix the problem.Has anyone heard of such a problem?Any idea what can be causing it and how to fix it.
