Default To what extent does ZA support Eudora and Thunderbird E-Mail clients?

Would someone from CheckPoint please indicate whether ZoneAlarm has the following features:

For Eudora:
- virus checking incoming mail
- spyware checking incoming mail
- virus checking outgoing mail
- spyware checking outgoing mail
- incoming "Mailsafe" (file extension checking only)
- outgoing "Mailsafe"
- incoming SPAM checking

For Thunderbird
- virus checking incoming mail
- spyware checking incoming mail
- virus checking outgoing mail
- spyware checking outgoing mail
- incoming "Mailsafe" (file extension checking only)
- outgoing "Mailsafe"
- incoming SPAM checking

Are there any "features" which I missed?

Also, from the ZoneAlarm main window clicking
"E-mail Protection" | "Help" | "Anti-virus protection for email" | "Enabling E-Mail scanning"
yields the instructions:

"To enable or disable E-mail scanning:

Select Anti-virus / Anti-spyware|Main.
In the Protection area, click Advanced Options.
The Advanced Options dialog appears.

Under Virus Management, select E-mail Scanning.
Select or clear the Enable E-mail Scanning check box, then click OK."

yet, as reported in
http://forums.zonealarm.org/zonelabs...essage.id=9616,

there IS NO WAY TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS. There IS NO "Enable E-mail Scanning" check box that I can see.

Please advise. Thanks.

Operating System:
Windows XP Pro
Software Version:
7.0
Product Name:
ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite

Hi!your e-mail messages will be checked for virus and spyware "on access" (ie. when you open them) regardless the mail system you use.The option "Enable E-mail Scanning" has been disabled in the most recent versions of ZAbecause it was blocking the correct functioning of incoming/outgoing e-mails.The antispam/antiphising feature in ZA will only work for Outlook and may be in the near future also for the mail client in VISTA.Please note thatCheckPoint staff does not monitor this forum. I didn't learn that from anything I read.
The option "Enable E-mail Scanning" has been disabled in the most recent versions of ZA because it was blocking the correct functioning of incoming/outgoing e-mails.
:-(, I guess it's too much to expect Checkpoint to update the help files.
...Please note that CheckPoint staff does not monitor this forum. I am also using Thunderbird because of previous unresolved issues with Outllook and had the same question, but also, I take it that this problem is also affecting Outlook as well at this time?In summary though are we safe using the Thunderbird E-Mail client now?
