Default Allowed user still shows as junk

I have a friend who I have confirmed that I allowed but yet still shows up in either the Junk or Phishing folder.

I have repeatingly clicked "Unjunk" which moves it over to my inbox. But a day or so later, the email is back in the junk or phishing folder. I have also repeatingly gone into the configuration and added/confirmed his email is in the allow list.

Can anyone explain why this persons emails STILl go to the junk folders vs. Inbox?

OS version is Win XP SP2
Outlook version is 2002
Zone alarm security suite version is 7.0.462.000

Thanks...

Microsoft Tech support told me There are numerous Bugs in Outlook 2002 and 2003 that have been Fixed in the Outlook 2007 release..However with your particular problem I have found a possible solution with Outlook 2003..If you friend Address has ever been blocked, and you later Place his Address in the Safe Sender list, a bug in the older versions of Outlook still keeps a copy of the address in the Blocked Sender list.. so you will have to edit the Blocked Sender list and delete the Approved addresses from the Blocked list..I hope this helps..

Thanks,
but I dont have the same screen as you show.
Perhaps I do, but can't find it.
Or cuz you are on outlook 2003 and i'm 2002.
In either case, I checked the blocked list and this person's name is NOT in it, but IS in the allow list.
This is only happening with ONE email address

Deputy Dawg,

Have you tried completely removing your friends address and then re-entering?
Have you tried resetting the database, perhaps it's corrupted?
If none of the above does the job, you can work around the junk filter by creating a rule in Outlook for your friends address to a specific folder. The Outlook rules will supercede the junk filter and always put the friends email in your specified folder.

Regards,
Findley

Findley,
Nope hadn't thought of that.
Not sure I know how to delete/re add an address or purge the db - any steps on those
Thanks
