Default Spam filter works backwards

In Outlook Express my ZA spam filter downloads my email and filters out the spam before opening my inbox.
When it does open the inbox, all I see are the "clean" emails.
Perfect so far.
Expected result.But when I launch
Outlook 2000, it opens my inbox, scans the email there, THEN downloads the latest emails into the inbox.
All of them.
Now my inbox is full of spam and clean emails.
Backwards!
I
now have
to manually delete each spam email myself.
I
can't find anywhere how to tell it to scan the downloaded emails first.

I dont need this software if it doesnt filter out what I dont want to see.
I would just as soon use OE but it keeps crashing lately.I have the latest version of ZA Security Suite v 7.0.462.000.
Windows XP SP2.
Outlook 2000.Any suggestions?
Thanks very much

This rescanning of the Outlook inbox has been an issue reported here before - only suggestion I can pass on to you -
for what its worth -
is to not leave any email in the inbox -
move it to other folders if you want to keep it.
This keeps your inbox as a source of "new" email.
