Default Email from Zone Alarm - is it a fake ?

I have received an email that purports to come from Zone Alarm - news@zonealarm.zonelabs.com.
    The email invites me
to "Test my PC Security & Health - Free!" and
purports to promote a new Zone Alarm service -
    ZoneAlarm
    System Checkup utility.
    It asks
me to click on a link to http://zonealarm.zonelabs.com/servle...xlLkJhQgLlVaVR .
However, a Spamcop analysis indicates that the actual IP address for this URL
is 12.130.135.61, which resolves to www.rsys1.responsys.net.

I use the free version of the Zone Alarm Firewall, so Zone Alarm do know my email address.
    Even so, I
am reluctant to click on any links in unsolicited emails.
    Does anyone know:

    a)

    Whether Zone Alarm have
sent this type of email to registered users and

    b)

    Whether the ZoneAlarm
System Checkup utility is a genuine Zone Alarm product.

    Operating System:Windows XP Pro
    Software Version:7.0
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm (Free)

    Hi!
ZA staff does not monitor this forum. We are all users.
Better you contact ZA customer support at: www.zonelabs.com/csform

I have seen this before, it seems legit. But check with customer service.
If you do not want to be contact by ZA just uncheck the options while installing ZAfree. Or just don't put the e-mail

The tools per se is marketing.
    So, just ignore it.

    Cheers,

Look thru these past posts > http://forums.zonelabs.org/zonelabs/...System+Checkup
    <hr>

    A -
    Whether Zone Alarm have
sent this type of email to registered users
    = yes

    B - Whether the ZoneAlarm
System Checkup utility is a genuine Zone Alarm product. =
It may carry the brand name - 'but isn't really' a ZoneAlarm firewall developed firewall product. Read thru the link above for more info.

Sidenote - it may be possible that 'they' sent out random emails from some other 'activities' you frequent, join, sign-up-ed for, etc.
or from some net profile that has developed elsewhere(real third parties). Nevertheless - you followed commendable behavior.
