Default Re: Confirmed - Junk mail causes Outlook Express Crash

I've just left the junk email filter turned off in ZASS and set the option from my ISP (Verizon) to turn theirs on.
I get a few spam messages, but not many.

Default New V 8.0 Junk mail causes Outlook Express Crash - Is It Fixed?

I've been reading the posts about the problems with V8.0 so I have not upgraded.
But, I was wondering if anyone has been able to use it long enough to know if this very old OE crash problem has been fixed?

I had the crash problem with the junk mail filter and had to turn it off for the last several months. I upgraded to version 8 a few days ago and the crash does seem to be fixed. However, the actual spam filter process is so slow, I may again have to turn it off. I'm wondering if I have too many addresses in my white list - my next task will be to remove all or most of them and see if this helps if speed continues to be an issue.

I know others have had problems, but I'm glad I upgraded to 8.

OK - OK - I take it back. I thought that Version 8 fixed the problem, but it didn't - the last time I lost my entire email. I've shut junk mail filtering off again. Please let me know if anyone has a fix - meantime, I have work to do.

    Simply amazing!
A major release and that problem is still there.
    Unbelievable

Some time has passed, so I'll ask the question again:
Has this problem been fixed in release 8.0.247?
    Can anyone confirm?

I would also like to know the answer to the question. It's been a year and I know have my junk mail filtering turned off. Time to renew, wonder if should renew ZA Suite or pick another that does not crash our systems. Would prefer to stay with ZA, but miss email junk mail filtering.

My renewal just came up and I did renew ZASS for my 2 WinXP SP3 PCs, but that is just to keep getting the new virus & spyware definition files for the release I have installed - 7.0.483.
Considering the problems that plagued the early releases of 8.0.xxx, I have been ignoring the reminders that the new version is available.
There are probably other improvements in this new version, but 7.0.483 has been working fine for me.
If the OE6 Reply/Forward problem were confirmed to be fixed, I would be more inclined to go through the pains of upgrading.
But if the problem is still there, I see no reason to upgrade.
DenverDave - In your earlier posts here, you said you upgraded to version 8.
Can you test it by turning the junk mail filter back on?
Which version of 8.0.xxx are you running?
