Thread: Email Protection

  1. #1

    Default Email Protection

I am using Vista Ultimate with ZASS v 8.0.020.000 as below:
    ZoneAlarm Security Suite version:8.0.020.000
    TrueVector version:8.0.020.000
    Driver version:8.0.020.000
    Anti-virus engine version:6.0.2.678
    Anti-virus signature DAT file version:958813910
    Anti-spyware engine version:5.0.202.0
    Anti-spyware signature DAT file version:01.200809.4555
    AntiSpam version:5.0.61.9957
According to the guide there should be an option as follows:

Enabling E-mail scanning

ZoneAlarm Anti-virus and ZoneAlarm Security Suite users have Anti-virus protection for e-mail enabled by default.

To enable or disable E-mail scanning:

    1.

[*]Select Anti-virus / Anti-spyware.

[*]In the Protection area, click Advanced Options.

The Advanced Options dialog appears.
[*]Under Virus Management, select E-mail Scanning.

[*]Select or clear the Enable E-mail Scanning check box, then click OK.

This option is not present on my version. Email scanning was not available with Vista O/S in ZASS v 7.1. Is this still the case for Vista and ZASS version 8.0??
