    Default Zone Alarm Junk Mail Filter Not Working on Outlook Express Win XP

    Hi,
    My junk mail scan filter has stopped working. Even a "scan selected folder" option doesn't work. The tool bar button are present, but I get "0 Junk Detected Today"

    Operating System: Windows XP Home
    Outlook Express 6
    Software Version: 7.0.483.000
    Anti Spam Version: 5.0.6.8903
    Product Name: Zone Alarm Internet Security Suite

    ZASS 7.0.483 junk mail filter stopped working after I upgraded to Win XP 3. The buttons for the filter disappeared from the toolbar although the folders for junk/phishing remained. I have since upgraded to ZASS 8.0.020.0
    but that did not help matters either. ZA tech support advised me to do a clean re-install which did not resolve the problem. Of course 8.020 also cause my computer to hang on Shutdown and Reboot.
    So, I close ZASS first to use either of function and sit and wait for all these problems to be resolved in a new release.

    I fixed the problem by compacting all the folders in Outlook Express.

    Goto File, then Folder, then Compact All.
