Default POP UPS Problems in taskbar...and desktop

I have 2 icons which have appeared on my desktop & Taskbar
and I can not get rid of themI have Norton Systems and ran my Virus Scan & Registry Mechanic...
But can not get rid of them..they come from these companies websites:
    http://www.virusburst.com/?aff=334
    http://safeiepage.com/

I also have 2 icons flashing in my task bar that popup from these same companies...and they pop up with messages to
"click here to get this software"

How can I get them off my computer....all scans fail...and when I delete them from the desk top they reappear...
    Thank you,
    Michael Witkowski

HMMM My Protowall blocked the second site saying it was a CWS. The first site was a blank page meaning it never got past the Host File .

Fix the second site with this SmitfraudFix from...

It may fix the first site issue as well.

If not this freeware application (you do not need the shareware version) will...

Hi the SmitFraud tool does require a safe mode. Although it is just a simple tool, it is very effective and does not require an installation or permanent installation.

The superantispyware does require a complete install, however the scan can be performed in the safe mode after the install/update. You will have a free antispy scanner with no startup after the download/install.

Either one should do the job, so it is entirely up to you as to which one is used.

As a after thought, there is freeware version of Asquared from emsisoft.com. It is also a manual update/scanner. nice as well.

Online scans could be Ewido from ewido.net/ and Bitdefender scan from bitdefender.com. These two and the Asquared will prove there are no trojans/malware left on the PC.
