    Default Ursnif.x infection?

I have a file (37679041.pdf.zip, 11/8/06) that ZA reports has the virus Win32.ursnif.x. ZA reports that no treatment is available. Prior to the ZA scan I had
"looked" inside the zip file with "pkunzip -t" and found
that the file contained an exe file. Therefore, I did not unzip this file. Since this file has never been unzipped, could it have actually infected my computer? Would there be a registry entry that would positively indicate an infection (i.e., if no such registry entry was found then I would positively know that the computer was not infected)? If the computer is infected, what can be done? (My ZA antivirus is up to date as of today.)
    Thanks,Don Culp

    Hi

Delete the zip or remove it on a USB flash. Then run a reg/file cleaner and see if it shows>

It is no so much that the file was unzipped, it is more if the executible was executed. That would be the start of an infection. You are on the right track.

This is what the 37679041.pdf.zip is >

a trojan apparently. Delete this and be clean.

You could try some of the online scans suggested by Spywarewarrior (try the AVG Antispy and the BitDefender at least). This would help confirm that the PC is clean.
