Default ZA failed to identify virus in dll6wise.dll

    Hello,
My system was struck by a from an application I downloaded and installed, which ZA failed to detect. ZA is running automatic updates and is up to date. When I scanned the files before I installed it,
    ZA
did not identify a virus. From a search apparently Norton does report the virus.
This thing copies a bunch of executables into a directory labeled common\data\C_\program files\ to the corresponding folders found
and renames dll6wise.dll as the executable copied from the original executable file. It seems to register everything it moves as well. Not sure what else it does, since I had to restore my system after a bunch of drivers failed to work properly and the system slowed significantly.
How do I report this so everyone using ZA gets protected? (I have files I can send)
    Regards,John

Hi!the antivirus in ZASS 7 has changed (kaspersky engine) and if you are still on version 6, I would recommend moving on to version 7 (much stronger). ZA 6.5 antivirus is quite weak. But note that version 7 does not like other antivirus/antispyware installed on your machine. If you want to upgrade remove all other security tools you have installed (most of all NORTON: removal tool)and for a smooth upgrade just do the following:1. Backup your ZA settings (overview --> preferences)2. On your current ZA, Uncheck "Load ZA... at startup" (overview --> preferences)3. Reboot your system4. Install the new update (upgrade or clean) and shutdown any security tool you have installed. The above may only fail if you have conflicting security tools installed (e.g. Spyware Doctor, System Mechanics prior to version 7.1.5),malware infections or messy OSAnd if ZA is acting weird (should not be the case).. just clean install and restore settings.Fax

I don't have Norton anti-virus installed, as mentioned I just noted that a web search revealed that Norton identified the worm. So version 7 works?I only have Norton System tools, none of the security tools or firewall, since I got ZA instead. Thouse shouldn't cause a conflict, correct?
I just bought 6.5 in January. It's a little upsetting to hear something I just bought new doesn't work. For the version 7 update I'm told I need to buy it, while the docs tell me that I am allowed to upgrade for 1 year. Is there something I need to do to get it at no cost?

    Thank you,John
