Hi!you can send suspects malware to malware@zonelabs.comSee here: http://smartdefense.zonealarm.com/tm..._reporting.jsp To have a quick check on the suspected file, please send it to www.virustotal.com , it will be scanned by most AV scanners on the market. Are you on the lastest version of ZASS? We are at version 7.0.337.000. If not, please update to latest version. Its free if you have a valid license.Otherwise try also the following:try to perform a full Antivirus/Antispyware scan but in SAFE MODE.1. Manual update your antivirus ('update now' under the antivirus/antispyware tab)2. Disable system restore;3. Reboot in SAFE MODE4. Run a full ZA AV/AS scan5. Reboot in Normal Mode6. Ensable System restore(How to start in SAFE MODE: http://www.microsoft.com/resources/d..._failsafe.mspx)(How to disable System Restore: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310405)If the above fails you may want to try Ewido online scan at: http://www.ewido.net/en/onlinescan/and also download, update and scan with superantispyware FREE:http://www.superantispyware.com/download.htmlif ALL the above fails please post your Hijackthis log here:http://www.castlecops.com/f67-Hijack...ans_Oh_My.htmlPlease read mandatory steps before posting:http://www.castlecops.com/t102301-Hi...e_Posting.htmlFaxP.S. Host file is a txt document. So, there is something else modifing the host file. Did you lock the host file? Go the firewall tab --> 'Advanced' button --> General settings, Check "Lock host file".

Regarding sending the Quaranteened files, there is no option in Zone Alarm Duite to send the files. I do not know where these are located. The only option is to delete the files

Hi!sorry if they are quarantined, it means they are detected, so not sure why you want to send to ZA.ZA already detects them as malware...In the ZA logs, you should be able to see where the filewas stored and most of all what has been actually detected (in C:\WINDOWS\Internet Logs\ZAlog.txt)You didn't mention the version you have installed... (ZA tray, right click, copy to clipboard, paste it here)And yes, ewido may find something, and if you have ZASS latest version installed properly and updated, probably its findingdead registry entries of harmless cookies... but you never know...No security software can detect 100% malware :8}Fax
