I was a fool and tried to download some software I shouldnt have. Well, now I have paid the price. After installing the software, ZA anti-virus detected at least two dozen backdoor trojans (which it quarantined). I scanned twice again in the same day and ZA detected 0 viruses. I had every confidence in ZA until I ran other anti-spyware I have on my PC (A-Squared). It has found 1 backdoor trojan so far, but now I am quite concerned for my laptop. I have no way of knowing whether all of them have been found. It is possible that they are hidden somewhere. What can I do to ensure my PC is safe, is there any feature of ZA that could help me? For reference the backdoor trojans found are:
Backdoor.Win32.ceckno.xd (A-Squared detected it)Backdoor.Win32.Rbot.gku (ZA anti-virus detected them) - around 24 in quarantineTrojan-Downloader.Win32.Zlob.lps.(ZA detected them)
- around 6 in quarantine
Please, if you know any other software that could help me get rid of these pests, please respond. I really do not want to format my hard drive, infact its the last thing
I want to do. Or if there is any tips you know of, experience even, please help.
