    Default IM-Worm.Win32.Pykse.m information

ZAISS 7.1.248.000 today quarantined the virus IM-Worm.Win32.Pykse.m, however I can't find any info on this variant. It appears to be related to Skype IM, however no instant messaging is used on this Visata laptop, or any of the machines on the local network. In fact, they are all being blocked by a ZoneAlarm Z100G router...orare supposed to be anyways!
Anybody have information on this one...or WHY it appeared to begin with???

    Exactly which scanner found this?
The antivirus scanner or the antispyware?

It is listed in the Quarantined View for Viruses. I just looked at the filename, which is symlcsv1.exe - which came up with several rather ominous Google hits. That file is/was located in the users\userxyz\AppData\Local\Temp directory.
Is this laptop OK to be using, or are there other potential issues!!!???
    Thanks
    in advance for the reply.

Delete it. Or let the scanner delete it.
This is not a safe file.
    It is malware.

    Hey,
have you been able to delete it? I'm having the same trouble. I can't find any information on this IM-Worm.Win32.Pykse.m
I'm currently using Kaspersky Internet Security and it detects it everytime I start my computer. I've deleted it more than 20 times using the anti-virus software and manually searching for the file and deleting it but NO LUCK.
Please let me know how you did it if you were successful.
Everything appears the same as you had mention in your post, the location, etc., and i'm running on Vista.
    Thank you.

If you are using KIS, not ZASS, then why not post at the kaspersky forum instead?

Because I've looked everywhere for information on this worm and this is the only place that i've found
someone else encountering the same problem I'm having. I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.

    Try this database lookup:

    http://www.viruslist.com/

    and post your question here:

    http://forum.kaspersky.com/

I'm quite sure Don Pelotas will help you out.
