I have run a spyware check and I am running an antivirus check now but it will take a while. So far no viruses found.

Yes, after trying the basics of Spybot and Adaware, the Malawarebytes' Anti-Malaware worked and removed the virus!
    Thanks for the info.

I had the same problem and downloaded antimalwarebytes I was not able to download superantispyware. I ran antimalwarebytes and it said it removed several files but I still have a problem. Every couple of seconds all the icons and the toolbar and start button at the bottom of my desktop disappear for a couple of seconds showing only the wall paper. Then they reappear and then disappear and continue to do this. I am using windows. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks

    Hi!
try to follow all the steps suggested here.
If it fails it may be the time for a fresh reinstall of the system.

Same virus, after I realized the warning message on the desktop was just a bitmap it was pretty easy to dig out the rest of the bad files. I ran the 2 suggested spyware programs and they didn't find anything so I guess I got it all. The only problem now is the virus either deleted or hopefully just shut off my ability to change screen savers in the Display Properties box. Does anyone know how to turn this back on? XP won't let you do a reinstall to fix things like this like 98 and 95 did.

Downloaded http://www.superantispyware.com/down...NTISPYWAREFREEand it froze up my computer and then I couldn't get back online. Finally I got it out and could get back on. Never download any spyware unless you do some heavy reviews. Most of the spyware people are telling you to download on these blogs, thinking they are helping you, are doing nothing but messing up your computer more.
Plus it didn't work. Still have the Windows Warning Message on my desktop. But, it's better than the alternatives, downloading more spyware that destroys.
