    Default Hard Disk Crashed

    Hi!

Its been a long time since I last posted here.

Recently my ZA ISS expired and I didn't have much time to register it again. As I was busy, my brother installed **bleep** free anti virus and he surfed the net for about 2 or 3 days and then suddenly on the next day, my laptop started giving me all sorts of problems. I got so many error messages in tjhe start saying hard disk error or startup up error. Sometimes the laptop turns off for a few seconds then suddenly shuts down. However if successful in turing on, I cant open any program....The computer becomes ssooooooo sloooooooooow. Has my hard disk crashed, or is it beacuse of a virus? What should I do?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Sanjeev

    Maybe this might help.

Chkdsk.exe is a utility which verifies the logical integrity of a file system. In the event of the utility encountering logical inconsistencies in file system data, it will perform the necessary actions to repair the file system data.

    Footnote :

ZoneAlarm does not play nice with many overlapping security tools (even if disabled).Only one anti-virus.

I have no other suggestion other than this to resolve your issue.

ZoneAlarm staff does not monitor this board. We are all users here.
