    Default ccevtmgr.exe wants server permission

As the topic states, CCEVTMGR.exe (Symantec Event Manager) wants server permission, which I, perhaps mistakenly, granted temporarily, though I immediately thought better of it and denied it any internet access at all. My question is why exactly it wants server permission, and should I grant it? Seeing as how it's part of Norton, I don't really see any harm in it, but I am reluctant to just go on gut instinct. I've since set it back to ask for permission to see if it comes up again, but oddly enough it hasn't. I believe it was related to the fact that I had installed Azureus (a bittorrent client) which does need server access to function properly, though it hadn't nor doesn't ask for server permission with any other program.

was it asking for server rights to the DNS server?

No destination IP is listed, but the source IP doesn't look like the IP of my ISP's DNS server, and is in fact listed as being in the Netherlands. Later server connection attempts from the program have my IP address as the source IP. I believe it has something to do with Azureus, as since I've uninstalled Azureus, ccevtmgr.exe doesn't even attempt to connect to the net. It likely has to do with Norton Internet Worm Protection, though I'm not sure.

The general rule of thumb is to not allow internet server rights unless absolutely necessary. Trusted zone server rights can be given. Without more to go on, that is about all I can be sure enough to say.
