    Default AkAmi

    Hi Folks
I am, at present, finding the win32.yok "trojan". Each time I remove it, it reappears. I know that this is claimed to be a "false positive" - BUT -
Since ZASS reported the problem I find that ZASS programme alerts are showing multiple attempts (3-4 per minute) by "a152.g.akamai", "a248.e.akami" and "a1981.g.akami" to access the internet. ZASS blocks them but what are they??

Yes, we currently use Akamai servers. Akamai has server farms all over the world. So, for example, when we posted new files yesterday, the new files were pushed out to all of the Akamai file servers (I believe they have something like 50 server farms, last time I heard). That way users can download the file faster. Even though you connect to our website to click on the download link, it chooses the download site closest to your location, so you get the fastest download available. Most companies use file serving systems like Akamai if they are on more than 1 continent.Marcus
