    Default Site opened from Google search closes TrueVector service

    When I click on the first result (,1759,1571626,00.asp) from a Google search;btnG=Search the TrueVector Internet Monitor service closes then restarts!

    The browsers it happens with are Opera 9.02 & Firefox 2 (IE & K-Meleon work fine though); also copying and pasting the site works ok.

    Although I imagine this would be partly a browser issue; anything that can remotely disable ZA should be of interest to zonelabs, surely?

    Operating System: Windows XP Pro - all updates
    Product Name: ZoneAlarm Pro
    Software Version: 6.5

    Event Viewer entry

    Event Type: Error
    Event Source: Service Control Manager
    Event Category: None
    Event ID: 7034
    Date: 29/10/2006
    Time: 01:02:27
    User: N/A
    Computer: STEVEN-36585ABA
    The TrueVector Internet Monitor service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 3 time(s).

    Try this in the Opera.

    Turn off the Opera or make sure it is not opened.

    Open the ua.ini with the notepad. The ua.ini file is found in the profile folder of the C\Program Files\Opera\profile.

    Under the [Identity] list look for or add these:*=2

    Then close the notepad and click yes to the change.
    This will set the sites into interact with the Opera browser as a Mozilla browser.
    ================================================== ==========

    Should look something like this in the ua.ini:

    Opera Preferences version 2.0
    ; Do not edit this file while Opera is running
    ; This file is stored in UTF-8 encoding
    ;1=Identify as Opera
    ;2=Identify as Mozilla
    ;3=Identify as Internet Explorer
    ;4=Identify as Mozilla, hide Opera ID completely
    ;5=Identify as Internet Explorer, hide Opera ID completely

    ================================================== =========

    The other issue would be a Zone Alarm issue. Make sure that the appropiate Privacy features are set for the google search and for eweek,com site , in the Privacy section of the Zone Alarm.

    Also was the referer logging disabled or enabled in the Opera?

    "Enable automatic redirection" was enabled in the Network of the Advanced in the Preferences of the Opera?

    Maybe these are the cause of the problem?
