Default Synaptics Touchpad Enhancements Trying to Paunch SynTPLpr.exe

I recently reinstalled Windows XP Home Edition on my laptop and downloaded the latest Service Pack and then installed Zone Alarm Internet Security Suite 2007.
    I now get a "Suspicious"
alert everytime I start my computer that "Synaptics
    Touchpad
Enhancements" is trying to launch a program "SynTPLpr.exe."
I have been allowing this because I thought I saw this program when I reinstalled Windows XP.
Does anyone know what this is and should I be blocking it?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

    Operating System:Windows XP Home Edition
    Product Name:ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite
    Software Version:7.0

    Dear jikim:

It's not malicious. It's a startup process for your touchpad for your laptop. It loads, along with SynTPEnh.exe, from your Registry, specific location is
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run . It's OK to leave them alone. The next time ZAISS pops up an alert, check, Remember this setting, prior to clicking Allow and you shouldn't see this alert again.

    Hope this helps.

If you block them, you might have problems using your laptop touchpad.
