    Default Hardware

Thanks for all you answers. Somebody can tell me which hardware file eraser can be used? Actually Im using Steganos suite 2008. But since the German government from 1/01/08, has obliged the company to give all information to the goverment (which I understand, when concerning the geopolitical problems) I'm a little bit scarry from them as a "normal" citizen. They like so much organisation, classifying.... of remember keeping the book of the deads from holocaust. So could somebody help me.Thanks

    Dear Bluesquare:

There are also commercial disk sanitizers you should know about. One is Webroot's Window Washer. With one click of the mouse, you can clean out nearly 50 predefined locations on the PC. You can also overwrite those same areas, up to 35 passes, to prevent any type recovery utility from reconstructing any data from there. It also allows you to add any custom folders or Registry locations for sanitizing. You can find this program here:

    http://www.webroot.com/En_US/consume...dowwasher.html

There is another program I'm aware of but have not tried yet, called Evidence Eliminator. You can find it here:

    Hope this helps.
