Default I've just replaced my Router...and now I am seeing some issues in my log (224.0.0.1)

My ZA is updated and at the current version, I am seeing packets from 224.0.0.1 which are showing up as medium threats in the log. Should I be worried?? I know the new Lynksys router does not have a built in firewall, wish I knew that before I bought it. I've never seen anything from 224.0.0.1 with my old Belkin router (w/ firewall) When I look up this addy it's telling me it's a Time Warner address....and most of the posts I'm seeing is telling me not to worry. I would like to make sure however. No virius...no root kits (well that my sweeper can find) and no spy ware that I know of. All of the traffic from 224.0.0.1 is going back and forth with my router.

Actually the 224.0.0.1 is not time warner, but is simply multicast (your own lan and not internet).

    http://www.iana.org/assignments/ipv4-address-space

No intrusions or rootkits or hackers or crackers or malware, but normal (and easily disabled or stopped) multicast.

Thanks Oldsod, I may sound like a tool here but what is multicast and how do I disable it?
