Default ZA 7 checks for update every hour...

This is pretty annoying. ZA7 checks for updates every hour...version 6 checked once a day. Is this by defualt? Is there anything I can do to change it?
    Thanks.

Unfortunately, it IS by default...and the only way to change it is to turn off auto updates, and run them manually at your convenience.
It would be nice to have the option to change the update frequency to say, every 2, 3, 4, 6 (whatever) hours.
    just my 3 cents.

I agree with you. An option to set that up would be nice.

That Option Exist in the KAV6 Anti-Virus.. But not in the AV Engine that Zonelable uses..Kaspersky want's an aditional $39.95 per copy for that added configurability..

Well, like I said...you can always turn off auto updates if it's going to interfere with whatever you're doing, and then turn it back on...or, just turn it off, and leave it off, as long as you remember to periodically do manual updates.

Yes, I agree, this is way too much. I find that on my 5 year old Pentium 4 1.3 GHz, the new version of Zonealarm drags the whole system down like I've never seen before. The +/- 75 MB of ram consumed by the 2 ScanningProcess.exe files, plus the Vsmon.exe file and God knows what other files are loaded by ZA...) is a real tax on the system and the hourly updates just slow things down even more....time to find other options me thinks...

Right. I think I am simply going back to version 6.something....update once a day is enough for me and my old computer.

Growwwl ... the 1 hour update is so annoying because it causes all your other windows to lose focus.

Gives us an option to change its frequency please ...
