As this has been pointed a few times, its not an issue with ZA.

ZASSfor both WinXP SP2 and VISTA works perfectly with this IM client (Live Messenger), even several users say they don't have any problems. Both Guru Fax and myself have Live Messenger installed on several computers and exchange IM and Email with no problems..We have both even Upgraded to the New Live Messenger Ver. 2008 (Build 8.5.1288.816) with no problems..So itis nottime to look for another firewall. Rather, You may need to spend time looking for other issues on your compurter system that has been suggested a few times.Possibly a Conflict with other Security Programs installed that may be Blocking access to live messenger, or a Corrupted HD..When was the last time your ran CHKDSK (Check Disk) or Defrag?

Hi, I'm a new member and have the exact problem. Only that I'm not running the Internet Suite version but the ZA firewall (free version). After the MSN failure
used the troubleshoot link of the MSN and the process failed atthe "key ports" step which means a firewall failure I guess. So,
using a firewall version (not the internet suite) differs your suggestions or not?
regards,
My configuration is Windows XP and
ZoneAlarm version:7.0.462.000
TrueVector version:7.0.462.000
Driver version:7.0.462.000

Sorry But, That is what's
known as
"Hi-Jacking" somebody elses Problem Request trend
.., That is why We ask Users to start their own Message Trend, so that a Solution to your problem will not get mixed up with the orgininal users request for help..
At the Top of the Message area, click on "New Message" instead of "Reply" to somebody elses message..

But your Problem sounds like you have not granted Trusted or Internet Access Level to MSM Love Messenger in Zone Alarm Program control/Program tab.. section..

Sorry, I thought I made I good thing by searching before asking. And since the problems are the same I thought it would be better for a later searcher (I mean for the forum archive) with the same problem. Anyway, sorry.

To update my situation (no more replies to this thread ): my problem seems to be solved. The only think I did is to shut down the computer last night, and restarted this morning.

Kind regards,
