Default Turning off protect zonealarm client in 7.0

I have found numerous post on how to configue 6.X Zone alarm clients to allow them to be controlled from remote applications.
However I ave not found how to do this is 7.0.
The UI simply does not respond to mouse or keyboard input. The documentation says that you go to general preferences and you can turn it off but the option is not on the actual screen.
Has it been moved? Is there a way to do this as I have to manage a remote machine that is very far away.

Does anyone know the answer to this.
This is a very important issue for us and we need to get it resolved.
As is the software cannot be managed remotely.

I have the exact same problem of frozen link while connected to Gotomypc when an alert pops up and unfortunately do not see any answer to your post yet !I noticed that, in the response to your initial posting, by rxbrown on 07/17/07 he says: quote" Yes in the latest version we noticed that the option has disappeared, in V7.0.337 it was there....."
    I
am using ZASS ver 7.0.337 and cannot find where this option of being turned ON or OFF is ?

    Where is it hidden ?
